This month sees the seventh of our monthly Member Zone Chats (MZChat).

In this Member Zone Chat we will lead our discussion with the question, “Where are the synergies between in-house networks / resource groups and who is doing what in this space?”

Why do we need to take account of our multiple identities?

In the human quest to improve the life chances of groups of people we can sometimes fall into the trap of working in silos as network / resource group leaders. It results in us missing out on the opportunities that exist to work in partnership with other in-house people networks. This month we will take a look at the opportunities that we have to work in partnership with other in-house networks. We will also hear how some organisations are making is easier for network leaders to work together and the positive and practical outputs that come as a result. 

These hour-long conversations are where we encourage you, as members, to come together to share, discuss and learn from each other – which is at the heart of what we do at PurpleSpace – leading a community of remarkable change-agents building disability confidence from the inside out.

Here are the four questions for this month’s theme:

1. What are the ways in which networks / resource groups can work with each other?
   
2. Where is the good practice from the PurpleSpace community?
   
3. What outcomes can result in working together? 
   
4. What would you like to achieve by working with other in-house networks / resource groups?
