PurpleSpace is delighted to announce that Gavin Bounds has been appointed chair of the #PurpleLightUp movement.
Now in its 3rd year #PurpleLightUp is the movement that has captured the hearts and minds of people across the word. Like the Rainbow Flag and Pride enable the LGBTQ+ communities to galvanise behind a unifying identity #PurpleLightUp is driving forward that momentum encouraging organisations to mark 3rd December each year, by going purple.
Gavin is bringing his commercial expertise to help grow the movement, driving forward its influence worldwide to ensure the economic empowerment of disabled people through the celebration of 3rd December (United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities). He will be helping to shape the campaign and the business going forward using his experience in digital transformation and business growth.
Gavin said ”I believe in the business benefits of inclusivity, creating the right environment where everyone can be their authentic self. #PurpleLightUp is capturing the hearts and minds of people to stand up for equality and demand a world that opens up potential to people of all abilities. Business stands to benefit by accessing diverse talent and attracting new customers. I am delighted to be involved in delivering such a powerful message.”
