The Purple Champion Leadership Model is a description of the essential leadership attributes that are required of a disability champion / executive sponsor which will enable them to drive disability cultural change within the workplace. The model demonstrates the importance of these attributes in creating, building and sustaining high- performing networks / employee resource groups.
We spoke to several champions, diversity & inclusion professionals and network / ERG leaders and asked their views on what the key characteristics are of exceptional champions. We understand that it is rare to get to ‘choose ‘ your champion and often your champion will not know your world and may need guidance on how to help. This model makes it easier for you to educate your champion on what good leadership looks and feel like – press a copy in to their hand.
