At the end of last year we launched our first digital campaign #PurpleTalk to encourage disabled employees, businesses and allies to share positive stories about disability and work on social media. With the support of our campaign partners Fujitsu, KPMG and Shaw Trust the campaign ended on a high note with 627,258 people receiving our message about the empowering nature of storytelling through a Thunderclap. You can read more about our campaign launch here.
In 2017 we want to shout even louder about how sharing positive stories about disability and employment can help build individual disability confidence as well as support and understanding from business allies. We will continue to share stories from our members and other people with disabilities who have successfully found ways to manage their disability or long-term illness alongside their career.
We also want to help other disabled people to build the skills and confidence to start sharing their experiences of disability confidence at work and we’ve have produced two free resources Purple Stories and #VirtuallyPurple to help you to build new skills in storytelling and social media.
