Leaders must walk the talk
Disability ERG/Network leadership is complex terrain. There is much to learn and most ERG/Network leaders aren’t experts in the full range of accessibility requirements that their members and wider colleagues may have.
Yet, disability ERG/Network leaders must ‘walk the talk’ by modelling good practice when it comes to accessible communications and events. This ensures that their messages and activities are inclusive to the community they serve and it can set a strong example for the wider community.
This month, we invite you to consider:
-
How could you improve the accessibility of your ERG’s communications and events?
-
What have you learnt from the disabled employees who engage with your communications and events?
-
How can you support your organisation to improve its own approach to accessibility?
