At PurpleSpace we help organisations across all industries and sectors to create vibrant and effective Disabled Employee Network's (DEN) and Employee Resource Group (ERG). These then build the exceptional engagement strategies that stimulate better conversations about all aspects of disability and business with their internal champions, allies and executive sponsors: building disability confidence from the inside out.
We are producing a practical toolkit to help maximize the value and impact of champions, allies and executive sponsors by:
- Describing the role and characteristics of exceptional champions, allies and executive sponsors
- Providing guidance on the key areas where champions, allies and executive sponsors can most productively focus their attention
- Offering examples of successful interactions between DEN's, ERG's and their champions, allies and executive sponsors
- Encouraging the establishment of routine interaction for a structured and effective relationship that drives mutual learning between champions, allies and executive sponsors and the network and / or resource groups
This survey will help us to understand what network leaders as well as their disabled colleagues would like to see from their champions, allies and executive sponsors.
We encourage you to circulate the survey across your DEN and / or ERG memberships as well as to your own champions, allies and executive sponsors. Business Disability Forum is also kindly rolling this survey out to their membership.
The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous and will be treated in confidence (and no names will be presented in tailor-made reports).
Throughout the project we will bring together key senior level champions, network leaders and key stakeholders to discuss the headline emerging findings and gain feedback about what would be helpful in a final toolkit. The first meeting of senior champions takes place on 21st June, kindly hosted by Fujitsu.
The survey results and toolkit will be launched later in 2017. All organisations that participate will be named as contributors in the toolkit.
